Glenn Silverman
KEYNOTE SPEAKER
Investment Strategist, Director, RisCura: Glenn Silverman CFA, CA (SA)
Since July 2021, Glenn has been RisCura’s investment strategist, director of the investment management business, chair of the Investment Risk Oversight Committee, and a member of both the Global Investment Committee (GIC) and its various sub-committees. He originally joined RisCura in early 2020 as a consultant and strategic advisor, and as a non-executive member of the GIC and its various sub-committees.
Glenn has over 30 years of experience in investment markets, including engagements at multi-management, exco and board levels. He also has a strong interest in the BRICS and responsible investing.
Before joining RisCura, Glenn was the chief investment officer at Investment Solutions (now Alexander Forbes Investments) for 17 years, with a further seven years of combined experience at Rand Merchant Bank Asset Management (now Aluwani / Momentum) and Liberty Asset Management (now STANLIB).
Isaac Ramputa

Isaac Ramputa is an executive director of RisCura Solutions (Pty) Ltd, the investment consulting and research business unit of RisCura.
He has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry that includes executive roles at organisations such as the Financial Sector Transformation Council, Batseta – Council of Retirement Funds of South Africa, Business Unity South Africa and the Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority. Isaac served as the Chair of the ASISA Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
In addition to his directorship role, Isaac contributes and advocates for the work RisCura is doing in the responsible and impact investing, RisCura’s B-BBEE manager and broker incubation programmes and nurtures and builds relationships with current and prospective RisCura clients.
Dr. Petri Greeff

Head of Investment Advisory Services, RisCura (PhD, Solid State Physics)
With 20 years of investment experience, Petri leads RisCura’s investment advisory business.
After earning a doctorate in physics, Petri transitioned into the world of investments, believing he could make a more immediate and measurable impact on society through financial services rather than the natural sciences.
He has a passion for technology and is fascinated by its potential to improve our lives. In discovering this, he found a niche where he can excel technically and pursue his passion—helping people from all walks of life secure their financial well-being.
Paula Mokwena
PANELIST
CEO of Fireball Capital / Head of Co-investment
An engineer by training and serves as the CEO of Fireball Capital, a participant in the RisCura MDP programme. This venture capital platform specialises in both primary fund investments and direct investments in early-stage South African tech businesses.
Under Paula’s leadership, Fireball invested in portfolio company, hearXGroup, which secured a spot on the TIME 100 Most Influential Companies of 2023 list alongside SpaceX, Nvidia, Stripe, Open AI (which developed ChatGPT) and Apple.
Musa Malwandla

Co-CIO of Differential Capital. (PhD, Finance and MSc, Statistics)
Musa Malwandla is a finance professional with 12 years of experience, holding a PhD in Finance and an MSc in Statistics.He is a top-rated analyst in the insurance sector, skilled in data science, credit risk modelling, actuarial analysis, and financial modelling.
He has extensive experience in model development, data science, and leading teams in the delivery of complex analytics projects in banking and finance Musa now serves as Co-CIO at a Differential Capital, where he is responsible for artificial intelligence and data science in the investment process.
Chad Ward
PANELIST
Head of Investment Research (SA), RisCura. (BCom. Hons, Finance and Investments)
Chad combines his knowledge of global current affairs and investment expertise to fulfil his role as head of investment research (South Africa) at RisCura.
In this role, he works closely with RisCura’s Global Investment Committee where he presents various investment offerings to the committee while also leading the research process within South Africa.
His passion for making a meaningful difference has also seen him play an integral role in formalising RisCura’s Manager Development Programme.
The programme aims to help develop a more inclusive investment industry focusing on building capacity in local markets, supporting women-owned and managed investment managers and promoting skills development. Chad has previously worked as an accountant at State Street Southern Africa.
