Thembi moved back to Botswana and joined RisCura in 2016. She brings a wealth of expertise in managed funds research across a multitude of asset classes.
These include global equities, Australian equities, fixed income, property securities, global emerging markets, New Zealand Equities and alternative investments.
In her role as senior consultant at RisCura, Thembi oversees the local clients providing advisory services, research and business development initiatives.
Her previous experience includes working at Lonsec, a stockbroking and research firm based in Melbourne, Australia.
She has also worked at a leading bank, ANZ, as a managed funds research manager within the Chief Investment Office-base in Sydney, Australia.

Keith Jefferis is a development macroeconomist and financial sector expert, currently serving as the Managing Director of Econsult Botswana, a consultancy specializing in economic and financial sector development across Botswana, Africa, and globally.
From June 2020 to May 2023, he held the role of Senior Policy Advisor at the Botswana Ministry of Finance, where he advised the Minister and senior officials on a broad spectrum of economic, fiscal, and financial policy matters.
He previously served as Deputy Governor of the Bank of Botswana, the country’s central bank, from 1999 to 2005, overseeing monetary and exchange rate policy, payments system development, reserve management, and coordinating with the government on policy issues.
His experience as an economic consultant spans numerous countries in Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean, working with international organizations such as the World Bank, African Development Bank, USAID, SADC, UNIDO, and UNDP, as well as various governments and central banks.
Dr. Jefferis has also contributed to the boards of financial and non-financial entities in Botswana, Kenya, Mauritius, and Nigeria. With a strong background in research and academia, he is dedicated to building capacity among young economists and enhancing the quality of policy analysis.
