At the recent IRF conference, trustees were exposed to some revealing discussions relating to “one stop shop” ser vice providers and the potential conflicts of interest that can arise when such a “shop” acts as both advisor and product provider.Trustees were made aware of the importance of getting independent, objective advice that they could be certain was in their funds’, rather than the product providers’, best interests.
