Ashlea Evans is an international TV reporter, media trainer and communications expert. She has worked for CNBC Africa, Al Jazeera News in Washington DC, Business Affair and ABC News. She has reported from The World Bank, The World Economic Forum, The African Mining Indaba and the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Ash graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Master of Science in Communication from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. Ashlea holds a certificate in The Global Financial Crisis from Yale and in Corporate Communications from Cornell. She spent seven years living in the USA, where she worked on Capitol Hill before returning to broadcasting. After years of interviewing world leaders and top business executives who struggled on camera, Ashlea founded The King's Speech in 2012 to help people make the most of media opportunities, presentations and listings. From four-star General Alexander Haig (former US Secretary of State) to David Gergen (American political commentator and former presidential adviser), Ash has interviewed and trained some of the world's most prominent leaders and business professionals. Ashlea's strength lies in handling crisis communications situations and developing strategic communications strategies. She has regularly consulted and advised multinational organisations on brand management and reputation enhancement. Ashlea presents at events and contributes to various media outlets. She has produced online courses and executive leadership programmes. She is passionate about developing a rapport with the people she trains, personally investing in their journey while guiding them to become media masters.

Glenn Silverman

Investment Strategist, Director, RisCura: CFA, CA (SA)

Since July 2021, Glenn has been RisCura’s investment strategist, director of the investment management business, chair of the Investment Risk Oversight Committee, and a member of both the Global Investment Committee (GIC) and its various sub-committees. He originally joined RisCura in early 2020 as a consultant and strategic advisor, and as a non-executive member of the GIC and its various sub-committees. Glenn has over 30 years of experience in investment markets, including engagements at multi-management, exco and board levels. He also has a strong interest in the BRICS and responsible investing. Before joining RisCura, Glenn was the chief investment officer at Investment Solutions (now Alexander Forbes Investments) for 17 years, with a further seven years of combined experience at Rand Merchant Bank Asset Management (now Aluwani / Momentum) and Liberty Asset Management (now STANLIB).

Tian is responsible for the overall Prescient China product offering and investment strategy. He is a member of the Prescient China investment research committee and specializes in the Chinese economy whilst also being our in-house expert in global geopolitics. Prior to joining Prescient, Tian worked at Towers Watson as an investment consultant and Old Mutual as an Investment Product Actuary. Tian is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary.

Rehana is a deputy head of SA Equity & Multi-Asset within the 4Factor team at Ninety One. She has portfolio management responsibilities for the General Equity and Balanced strategies as well as the Worldwide Flexible Strategy. Prior to joining the firm Rehana spent eleven years working for Prudential Investment Managers (currently known as M&G) and was a Director on PIMSA Institutional Board, Head of Equity Research, Portfolio Manager in their Select team and an analyst covering mining, retail and general financials sectors. Before this she worked for Deloitte firstly doing her accounting articles and secondly as a manager of the Special Services Group.

After seven years with Allan Gray, Clarissa joined Citi on the Equity Sales desk where she spent 5 years. Clarissa joined Fairtree in 2017 and is a equity hedge fund manager on the Assegai range of funds
